What is the adoption fee?
Adoption fee is $545 for puppies and adult dogs. However, because seniors (8 plus years old) have a difficult time with any shelter environment and so deserving of families of their own we offer our compassionate discount of $295.
These fees include each animal spay and or neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vetting and vaccines, fecal check, deworming, heart worm, flea and tick prevention, transportation and shelter fees. Additionally, it helps the rescue in providing food and accessories to our foster families.
Can I visit the Location
We are a foster based rescue, meaning that all of our dogs are not at one central location. Shelter environments can add more stress to an already traumatic situation for any animal. We have a network of amazing local fosters who work to make each dog comfortable while waiting for their forever home\family. Approved applicants may schedule a meeting to visit and hopefully adopt one of our dogs.
Will my new dog be potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, etc.
Each dogs background and origin are a little different. This may be his\her first experience with living in a home or being separated from littermates. With patients and love from their foster, our animals begin learning new skills individual to their needs. An adopter should expect that their new dog will need continued and consistent training in order to fully acclimate them to their new life.
What is my dogs story? How big will my adopted dog be when fully grown? Do you know the breed mix?
We work directly with trusted rescues from the South. It is not uncommon for puppies to be found on the side of the road, or for adult dogs to be surrendered. We do not know exactly why dogs end up in rescue, but we do everything we can to get them into a better home. We take our best guess at breed mixes, but we don't know the actual breed.
