What is the adoption fee?

Accepted Answer

Our adoption fee is $545 for puppies and adult dogs. However, because senior dogs (7+ years old) often have a more difficult time in shelter environments and are so deserving of loving homes, we offer a compassionate discounted adoption fee of $295 for seniors.

These fees help cover:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
Age-appropriate vaccines and veterinary care
Fecal testing and deworming
Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention
Transportation and shelter fees

Additionally, adoption fees help support the rescue by providing food, supplies, and essential care for our foster families and animals.

Can I visit the location?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes rather than one central shelter location.

Shelter environments can add stress to a traumatic situation for many animals, so our foster network helps dogs feel safe and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

Yes! We do consider out-of-state adoptions on a case-by-case basis. Our priority is ensuring each dog is placed in the best possible home environment.

The adoption process timeline can vary depending on application volume, reference checks, meet-and-greets, and the individual dog.

We work as quickly as possible while making sure every adoption is the right match for both the dog and adopter.

Not necessarily. While some dogs may benefit from a fenced yard due to their energy level or training needs, we evaluate each application individually.

Exercise, safety, and commitment to proper leash handling are more important than simply having a fenced yard.
